Deep-Fried Fish
Comments: Better than eating at the restaurant!
Serve with French fries.
Servings: 6
Ingredients              Directions:
  • 2 cups [280 g] sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons [15 mL] salt
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking powder
  • 2 pounds [1 kg] fish fillets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup [250 mL] milk
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] oil
  • Oil [for deep-frying]
  • Into a deep-fryer, preheat frying some oil to 375°F [190°C].
  • Into a bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Coat fish fillets with mixture, reserving remaining mixture.
  • Lightly beat eggs; beat in milk and oil.
  • Mix in remaining reserved flour mixture; beat until smooth.
  • Dip fish fillet into mixture until completely coated.
  • Deep-fry fish fillets until crisp and golden brown.
  • Drain onto paper toweling before serving.
